Sanctum Care Group

The most recent initiative, Sanctum 1.5, is a ten bed care home that supports high-risk, HIV positive, pregnant women. The goals are to prevent the transmission of HIV to the unborn baby through pregnancy and at birth, to improve health outcomes for both mom and baby, and to prevent children from entering the foster care system through an integrated and holistic approach to care.

Sanctum Care Group have diligently been working to bridge the gaps in the current system. In addition to opening Sanctum, Sanctum Care Group opened The Beehive in May 2017. The Beehive is a transitional apartment block for people living with HIV who require continued support in the community. Sanctum Care Group also initiated HART in the summer of 2017, which is an HIV/AIDS Response Team aimed at increasing supports and services for individuals receiving care in hospital.
